Russian Embassy hosts Pakistani students under International Young Diplomat School

ISLAMABAD, Tuesday, May 12, 2026 (WNP): The Embassy of Russia in Pakistan welcomed participants of the International Young Diplomat School organized by the Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies (IPDS), bringing together students from universities across Pakistan, including Lahore, Quetta, and Sargodha.

During the interaction, Cultural Attaché of the Russian Embassy Gleb Shubin briefed participants on the history of Pakistan-Russia relations, key aspects of the Foreign Policy Concept of the Russian Federation, and opportunities for Pakistani students to pursue higher education in Russia.

The discussion reflected strong interest among students in further strengthening multifaceted cooperation between Pakistan and Russia, particularly in education, diplomacy, and cultural exchange.

Participants also emphasized the importance of expanding people-to-people contacts between the peoples of Pakistan and Russia, describing both countries as close Eurasian neighbours committed to greater regional understanding and cooperation.
