Kazakhstan confers ‘Hoca Ahmet Yesevi Order’ on President Erdoğan

ASTANA, Thursday, May 14, 2026 (WNP): President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was awarded the prestigious “Hoca Ahmet Yesevi Order” by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev during an official ceremony in Astana on Thursday.

The honour was conferred in recognition of President Erdoğan’s contributions to strengthening brotherly relations, strategic cooperation and solidarity between Türkiye and Kazakhstan, as well as his role in promoting unity across the Turkic world.

President Tokayev praised the longstanding ties between the two countries and acknowledged Türkiye’s growing role in regional connectivity, economic cooperation and diplomatic engagement.

The award ceremony took place during President Erdoğan’s official visit to Kazakhstan, where the two sides also signed multiple agreements aimed at expanding bilateral cooperation in trade, energy, transportation, defence and investment sectors.
