Qatar PM inaugurates 35th Doha International Book Fair

DOHA, Thursday, May 14, 2026 (WNP): Under the patronage of Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani inaugurated the 35th edition of the Doha International Book Fair at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center on Thursday.

The internationally acclaimed literary event opened with the book “This is Qatar” designated as the Guest of Honor for this year’s edition, reflecting the country’s cultural identity, heritage and intellectual contributions.

The exhibition brings together publishers, authors, intellectuals and cultural institutions from across the world, serving as an important platform for promoting literature, knowledge exchange and intercultural dialogue.

The Doha International Book Fair is regarded as one of the leading cultural events in the region, highlighting Qatar’s continued commitment to education, culture and intellectual development.
