UN Secretary-General’s envoy meets Ishaq Dar, appreciates Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts

ISLAMABAD, Monday, May 11, 2026 (WNP): United Nations Secretary-General’s Personal Envoy for the Middle East Conflict Jean Arnault called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Monday and discussed the latest regional developments and Pakistan’s diplomatic engagement for peace and stability.

During the meeting, the UN envoy conveyed the deep appreciation of United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres for Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts aimed at promoting regional peace and stability and reaffirmed the UN’s continued support in this regard.

 

The deputy prime minister and foreign minister briefed the envoy on the evolving regional situation and highlighted Pakistan’s ongoing engagement with all relevant parties to support peace and de-escalation efforts.

Ishaq Dar also conveyed his gratitude to the UN secretary-general for his valuable contributions and continued support for Pakistan over the years.
