ISLAMABAD: The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, has strongly condemned deliberate attacks on civilian facilities in Iran, including a school in Minab and a major hospital in Tehran, terming them \u201cblatant war crimes and crimes against humanity.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the envoy said a \u201cbrutal and shocking\u201d strike on a school in Minab resulted in the deaths of at least 160 students, whom he referred to as innocent victims of aggression.<\/p>\n

He further alleged that subsequent attacks targeted Gandhi Hospital in Tehran, describing the assault as part of the \u201cmassacre machinery\u201d of the United States and Israel.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\u201cThe deliberate targeting of educational institutions and medical facilities constitutes a clear violation of international humanitarian law,\u201d Ambassador Amiri Moghadam said, urging the international community to take notice of systematic attacks on non-combatant infrastructure.<\/p>\n

He maintained that under the Geneva Conventions and established norms of armed conflict, schools and hospitals enjoy protected status and must not be targeted under any circumstances.<\/p>\n

The ambassador called on the United Nations and relevant international bodies to investigate the incidents and hold those responsible accountable, warning that continued attacks on civilian sites would further destabilize the region.<\/p>\n
