ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday said Pakistan stands ready to host dialogue between the United States and Iran to facilitate a comprehensive and lasting resolution of the ongoing Middle East conflict.<\/p>\n
In a statement shared on his official X account, the prime minister said, \u201cSubject to concurrence by the US and Iran, Pakistan stands ready and honoured to be the host to facilitate meaningful and conclusive talks for a comprehensive settlement of the ongoing conflict.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
He added that Pakistan welcomed and fully supported ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at ending the war, emphasizing that dialogue remained essential for ensuring peace and stability in the region and beyond.<\/p>\n
Reinforcing the government\u2019s position, Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi said Islamabad was already prepared to host talks between Washington and Tehran.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf both sides agree, Pakistan is always ready to host talks,\u201d Andrabi said in an interview with CNN, reiterating Pakistan\u2019s willingness to play a constructive role in de-escalation efforts.<\/p>\n
In a separate conversation with The Express Tribune<\/em>, the spokesperson said Pakistan remained firmly committed to resolving the conflict through diplomatic engagement, in line with its longstanding foreign policy principles.
