WASHINGTON: \u00a0Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb addressed the Roshan Digital Account (RDA) and Remittance Roadshow \u2014 Pakistan Diaspora Leaders\u2019 Evening \u2014 held at the Embassy of Pakistan in Washington, D.C., highlighting the vital role of overseas Pakistanis in strengthening the country\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n

The event was organized with the support of the State Bank of Pakistan and the Pakistan Banks\u2019 Association.<\/p>\n

In his address, the finance minister paid tribute to the Pakistani diaspora for their invaluable contributions, describing them as a cornerstone of Pakistan\u2019s external resilience, particularly through remittances.<\/p>\n

He reaffirmed the government\u2019s commitment to the Roshan Digital Account scheme, noting that even during the peak of Pakistan\u2019s balance of payments crisis \u2014 when foreign exchange reserves had dropped to critically low levels \u2014 no restrictions were imposed on RDA deposits.<\/p>\n

Aurangzeb also welcomed new features and enhancements introduced to the RDA platform, which have expanded investment opportunities for overseas Pakistanis. He encouraged expatriates to take full advantage of these options and invest in Pakistan\u2019s economy.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
