TEHRAN: Iran has stated that Pakistan is currently the sole active mediator in ongoing diplomatic efforts, while criticizing the United States for undermining the credibility of the mediation process.<\/p>\n
Responding to a question, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei said, \u201cAt present, our only mediator is Pakistan,\u201d adding that although other countries remain in contact and are offering goodwill efforts, Islamabad is clearly leading the process for now.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
He emphasized that the role of a mediator carries significant responsibility, noting that maintaining credibility is essential not only for the mediating country but also for the broader institution of mediation as a recognized mechanism for peaceful dispute resolution.<\/p>\n
