It warned that such provocative steps risk further escalating tensions in the region.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-11548\" src=\"https:\/\/thediplomat.com.pk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/HGcmCZTa4AAW8a5.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"636\" height=\"900\" \/><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The statement urged the international community to take all possible measures to protect holy sites under Israeli occupation and to end impunity enjoyed by illegal settlers.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Reaffirming its longstanding position, Pakistan expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people and reiterated its unwavering support for their right to worship freely.<\/p>\n<p>Islamabad also reiterated its support for the establishment of an independent and viable State of Palestine based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Tuesday strongly condemned the storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound and the raising of the occupying power\u2019s flag within its courtyard by illegal Israeli settlers.
