MUSCAT, Thursday, May 7, 2026 (WNP): Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tarik and President of Egypt Abdel Fattah el-Sisi held a cordial meeting at Al Barakah Palace on Thursday, focusing on regional developments and ongoing efforts to address the American-Iranian crisis through diplomacy and dialogue.<\/p>\n

According to an official statement, the two leaders reviewed major regional issues and discussed their political, economic, and security implications amid heightened tensions in the Middle East.<\/p>\n

Sultan Haitham and President Sisi also exchanged views on ways to achieve a final agreement aimed at resolving the crisis between the United States and Iran through mutual understanding, diplomatic engagement, and peaceful negotiations.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The meeting reflected continued coordination between Oman and Egypt on regional stability and conflict de-escalation efforts.<\/p>\n

The Omani side included General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nomani, Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi, Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, and Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah Al Hinai.<\/p>\n

The Egyptian delegation included Major General Ahmed Ali Mohamed, Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, Counsellor Omar Marwan, and Ambassador Yasser Shaaban.<\/p>\n
