DOHA, Sunday, May 10, 2026 (WNP): Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani held a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday and discussed bilateral cooperation, regional developments and Pakistan\u2019s mediation efforts aimed at de-escalation.<\/p>\n
During the call, the two leaders reviewed relations between the two countries and discussed ways to further support and enhance bilateral cooperation.<\/p>\n
They also exchanged views on the latest developments in the region and Pakistan\u2019s mediation efforts aimed at reducing tensions in a manner contributing to regional security and stability.<\/p>\n
Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani expressed Qatar\u2019s appreciation for the efforts of Pakistan and other parties that contributed to achieving a ceasefire between the United States and Iran through mediation and diplomatic engagement.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
The Qatari prime minister reaffirmed Doha\u2019s full support for Pakistan\u2019s mediation efforts aimed at resolving the crisis through peaceful means.<\/p>\n
