ISLAMABAD, <\/strong>Thursday, <\/strong>June 4<\/strong>, 2026<\/strong> (WNP):<\/strong> Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Thursday met a delegation from the National Defence College of Sri Lanka at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations with Sri Lanka across all sectors.<\/p>\n

The Sri Lankan delegation is visiting Pakistan as part of a foreign study tour and received a briefing on Pakistan’s foreign policy priorities and regional challenges during its visit to the Foreign Ministry.<\/p>\n

Welcoming the delegation, Dar extended his best wishes for a productive visit and a pleasant stay in Pakistan.<\/p>\n

He underscored the importance Pakistan attaches to its longstanding and friendly relations with Sri Lanka and reiterated Islamabad’s desire to enhance cooperation with Colombo in all areas of mutual interest.<\/p>\n

The deputy prime minister highlighted the strong bonds of friendship between the two countries and emphasized the significance of expanding engagement in political, economic, defence, educational and people-to-people exchanges.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The visit provided an opportunity for the Sri Lankan participants to gain insights into Pakistan’s foreign policy outlook, regional developments and key diplomatic priorities.<\/p>\n

Pakistan and Sri Lanka enjoy cordial relations rooted in mutual respect, close cooperation and shared interests at bilateral, regional and international forums.<\/p>\n
