ISLAMABAD\/ RAWALPINDI, Tuesday, May 20, 2025 : Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir was promoted to the rank of Field Marshal on Tuesday, following a unanimous decision by the Federal Cabinet in recognition of his exceptional leadership and strategic acumen during the recent conflict with India, codenamed Operation Bunyanum Marsoos \u2014 now widely regarded as the Marka-e-Haq (Battle of Truth).<\/p>\n
