Four terrorists subsequently entered the compound but were swiftly intercepted and cordoned off by security personnel in the Dairy Farm and family residential area of the campus. A heavy exchange of fire ensued, during which security forces maintained control of the situation and prevented the attackers from advancing further.<\/p>\n
All families residing in the affected area were safely evacuated as a precautionary measure. After a sustained firefight, security forces neutralised all four terrorists. No fatalities were reported among security personnel or civilians. However, one junior commissioned officer (JCO) and one soldier sustained minor injuries during the exchange of fire and were provided medical treatment.<\/p>\n
