Pakistan\u2019s participation is part of ongoing efforts to institutionalize cooperation among the three countries and strengthen coordination on regional security and stability.<\/p>\n<p>The inaugural meeting of the Strategic Political and Defence Committee was held in Istanbul on August 31, 2026. The three countries subsequently agreed to further institutionalize cooperation under the agreement, including through a Secretariat to be established in Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n<p>The Makkah Joint Defence Agreement was signed by Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and T\u00fcrkiye on August 7, 2026.
