Dar, EU’s Kallas discuss regional situation, stress dialogue, diplomacy for conflict resolution

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Tuesday received a telephone call from European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy (HRVP) Kaja Kallas, during which both sides discussed regional developments and Pakistan–EU cooperation.

During the conversation, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar appreciated the regular and close contact between Pakistan and the European Union amid the ongoing regional situation. He also shared details regarding the recently held Islamabad Talks.

The EU High Representative commended Pakistan’s constructive role in facilitating direct negotiations between the United States and Iran held in Pakistan.

She acknowledged Islamabad’s efforts in promoting diplomatic engagement and easing regional tensions.

Both leaders underscored the importance of continued dialogue and diplomacy for the peaceful resolution of conflicts and regional stability.

They also positively assessed the growing cooperation between Pakistan and the European Union across multiple areas and agreed to remain in close contact on all issues of mutual interest.
