TİKA showcases Pakistan projects promoting sustainable agriculture, rural livelihoods

ISLAMABAD: The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) participated in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJ&K) Agriculture Conference 2026, highlighting its ongoing initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable agriculture and strengthening rural livelihoods in Pakistan.

During the conference, TİKA presented key development projects as successful models of community empowerment through local production and income generation. Among the featured initiatives were the Olive Oil Production Unit established in Muzaffarabad and a Mushroom Cultivation Project designed to support small-scale farmers.

Officials noted that these projects are helping transform agricultural practices by introducing modern techniques, enhancing productivity, and creating viable income opportunities for local communities.

The participation of TİKA underscored the strong cooperation between Türkiye and Pakistan, reflecting a shared commitment to sustainable development and socio-economic progress.
