Uzbek President attends Victory Day events in Moscow

MOSCOW, Saturday, May 9, 2026 (WNP): President of Shavkat Mirziyoyev on Saturday participated in ceremonial events in Moscow marking the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Second World War.

Following the military parade held at Red Square, Mirziyoyev joined other heads of state in laying flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier to honour those who lost their lives during the war.

The commemorative events were attended by several foreign leaders and dignitaries invited to participate in the Victory Day observances in the Russian capital.
