Kyrgyz president hails Pakistan’s high-tech progress during visit to NASTP

ISLAMABAD, Sunday, December 7, 2025 (WNP): Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov on Sunday visited the National Aerospace Science and Technology Park (NASTP) in Islamabad, where he was briefed on Pakistan’s rapidly expanding capabilities in aviation, space technology, IT, and cybersecurity.

PRESIDENT JAPAROV TOURED THE STATE-OF-THE-ART ALPHA EXHIBITS SHOWCASING A DIVERSE RANGE OF INDIGENOUS INNOVATIONS, INCLUDING ADVANCED AIRCRAFT TECHNOLOGIES, RADAR AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS, FLIGHT SIMULATORS, SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS, ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE APPLICATIONS, CYBER TECHNOLOGIES, AND NEXT-GENERATION SPACE SYSTEMS.

During the visit, he received a detailed briefing on the JF-17 Thunder, the Pakistan–China co-developed multirole fighter aircraft. Aviation specialists outlined its combat performance, maneuverability, guidance and weapons systems, and onboard avionics. The Kyrgyz leader also inspected the aircraft’s cockpit, where he was briefed on its operational features.

President Japarov further explored the PAC MFI-17 Mushshak light trainer aircraft and a modern helicopter simulator used for high-end flight training across varying operational conditions.

Impressed by the breadth of Pakistan’s technological advancement, the Kyrgyz President lauded NASTP’s contributions to aerospace innovation and expressed strong interest in expanding bilateral cooperation in high technology, research, and innovation-driven sectors.
