ISLAMABAD, Saturday, July 26, 2025 : Pakistan on Saturday hosted the Regional Chiefs of Defence Staff Conference, bringing together top military leaders from the United States, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan in a major multilateral engagement aimed at strengthening regional security cooperation.

Held in Islamabad under the theme “Strengthening Bonds, Securing Peace,” the high-level forum marked a significant step toward advancing military diplomacy, strategic dialogue, and collective responses to transnational threats, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir, NI(M), formally welcomed the participating defence chiefs, reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to peace, stability, and constructive regional engagement.

“In an era defined by transnational threats and complex hybrid challenges, deeper military-to-military cooperation, strategic dialogue, and mutual trust are imperative,” said the COAS. “Pakistan remains fully committed to working with partner nations to build a secure and prosperous regional environment.”

The conference featured in-depth discussions on the evolving security landscape in Central and South Asia, with a focus on joint training, counterterrorism cooperation, and coordinated humanitarian responses. Delegates also exchanged best practices in defence preparedness and crisis management.

The participating defence leaders collectively reaffirmed their shared resolve to safeguard regional peace, uphold sovereignty, and tackle common threats such as terrorism, cyber insecurity, and violent extremism.

The forum was widely praised for its inclusive approach, with delegates lauding Pakistan’s leadership and hospitality in organizing a timely and future-oriented dialogue amid growing regional security complexities.

This strategic convergence, ISPR said, reflects Pakistan’s enduring commitment to fostering a cooperative and interconnected regional security framework, rooted in mutual respect and shared interests.
