Dar meets UK Foreign Secretary, discusses regional situation and bilateral ties

ANTALYA: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Saturday held a meeting with UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Antalya.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on the evolving regional situation and recent developments, with a focus on ongoing diplomatic efforts for peace and stability.

Dar appreciated the UK’s acknowledgment and support for Pakistan’s role in facilitating the initial understanding between the United States and Iran, as well as hosting the Islamabad talks and continuing efforts to promote dialogue.

The two leaders agreed to remain closely engaged to further strengthen Pakistan–United Kingdom relations and enhance cooperation on matters of mutual interest.

The meeting underscored the importance of sustained diplomatic engagement in addressing regional challenges and advancing shared objectives.
