RAWALPINDI, Tuesday, April 21, 2026 (WNP): The Pakistan Navy on Tuesday conducted a successful live weapon firing of the indigenously developed Taimoor Air-Launched Cruise Missile, demonstrating enhanced precision strike capability and operational readiness, the military’s media wing said.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the anti-ship weapon system effectively executed its mission with exceptional accuracy, validating the Navy’s capability to detect, track and neutralize sea-based targets at extended ranges.

The successful test marks a significant advancement in Pakistan’s defence capabilities, reinforcing the armed forces’ multi-dimensional and coordinated strike posture in the conventional domain.

ISPR said the demonstration underscores the Pakistan Navy’s preparedness to safeguard the country’s maritime interests and ensure the security of its sovereign waters.

The President of Pakistan, Prime Minister of Pakistan, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and Services Chiefs congratulated the scientists and engineers involved in the development of the missile system on achieving the milestone.
