Qatar, Türkiye hold first round of political consultations in Ankara

ANKARA, Thursday, May 14, 2026 (WNP): Qatar and Türkiye on Thursday held the first round of political consultations between their foreign ministries in Ankara aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation and coordination.

The Qatari delegation was led by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi, while the Turkish side was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Musa Kulakli Kaya.

During the consultations, both sides reviewed the growing cooperation between the two brotherly countries and discussed ways to further support and enhance bilateral relations across various sectors.

The meeting reflected the strong strategic partnership between Qatar and Türkiye and their shared commitment to deepening diplomatic coordination on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
