ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Thursday evening, during which the two leaders discussed the evolving regional situation.
During the call, the Turkish foreign minister appreciated Pakistan’s diplomatic role in helping secure the recent ceasefire and extended Ankara’s full support for Islamabad’s efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability.
Both leaders underscored the importance of sustained engagement to ensure that the ceasefire holds and contributes to a lasting and durable peace in the region.
Reaffirming the strong and fraternal ties between Pakistan and Türkiye, the two sides agreed to remain in close contact and continue close coordination on matters of mutual interest.
