PRISTINA: President of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani has appreciated Pakistan’s role in promoting regional peace and expressed her country’s desire to further strengthen cooperation with Islamabad.

In a statement following her interaction with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, President Osmani said it was “always a pleasure” to engage with the Pakistani leadership and thanked the prime minister for his continued commitment to deepening bilateral relations.

She also commended Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts in mediating tensions involving Iran and developments around the Strait of Hormuz, noting that these efforts reflect Islamabad’s commitment to regional peace and stability.

Osmani expressed hope for the success of Pakistan’s ongoing mediation initiatives and extended best wishes for the next round of diplomatic engagements.

Pakistan has recently been actively involved in facilitating dialogue amid heightened tensions in the region, particularly concerning the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global energy route, where ongoing diplomacy aims to ease disruptions and promote stability.

The development underscores growing diplomatic engagement between Pakistan and Kosovo, with both sides showing interest in expanding cooperation while supporting broader peace efforts at the regional level.
