Pakistan, Turkiye stress diplomacy as Ishaq Dar, Hakan Fidan discuss regional situation

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephonic conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Wednesday evening, exchanging views on the evolving regional situation.

During the call, both leaders underscored the importance of dialogue and diplomacy for the peaceful settlement of disputes and regional stability.

Dar also expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality extended by Turkey to the Prime Minister of Pakistan and the accompanying delegation during the Antalya Diplomacy Forum held last weekend.

He appreciated Ankara’s role in hosting the third meeting of the R-4 group on the sidelines of the forum, which brought together the foreign ministers of Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Pakistan.

The two sides agreed to maintain close coordination as diplomatic efforts continue to address regional challenges through peaceful means.
