RIYADH, Sunday, June 22, 2025 : The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has expressed deep concern over the escalating situation in the Islamic Republic of Iran, particularly in light of reported U.S. strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday, the Kingdom reiterated its condemnation of any violation of Iranian sovereignty, reaffirming the stance it had taken in an earlier statement released on June 13.
“The Kingdom underscores the urgent need for restraint, de-escalation, and the prevention of further conflict,” the statement read, stressing that any further escalation could seriously threaten regional peace and stability.
Saudi Arabia urged the international community to intensify diplomatic efforts during what it described as a “highly sensitive period,” and called for a political solution that could bring an end to the crisis and pave the way for lasting peace and security in the Middle East.
The statement reflects Riyadh’s growing alarm over rising tensions in the region and its consistent call for dialogue and diplomacy as the only viable path forward.
