Turkish defence minister arrives in Islamabad to bolster bilateral defence ties

ISLAMABAD, Tuesday, July 8, 2025 : Türkiye’s Minister of National Defence arrived in Islamabad on Tuesday for an official visit aimed at strengthening defence cooperation and deepening the historic ties between the two brotherly nations.

Upon arrival, the visiting dignitary was warmly received by Ambassador Syed Ali Asad Gillani, Additional Secretary (West Asia) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the visit, the Turkish Defence Minister is scheduled to hold high-level meetings with senior Pakistani officials to discuss matters of mutual interest, with a focus on defence collaboration, regional security, and strategic partnerships.

The visit reflects the growing momentum in Pakistan-Türkiye relations, particularly in defence and security sectors, and is expected to further advance joint initiatives and institutional linkages between the two countries.
