Pakistan, Türkiye reaffirm enduring strategic partnership at Davos Peace Board ceremony

DAVOS: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Muhammad Ishaq Dar on Thursday shared cordial moments with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir ahead of the signing ceremony of the Board of Peace at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

The interaction, marked by warmth and camaraderie, underscored the deep-rooted and time-tested bond between Pakistan and Türkiye, a relationship built on shared history, mutual trust and close people-to-people ties.

OBSERVERS NOTED THAT THE INFORMAL EXCHANGE REFLECTED THE STRENGTH OF STRATEGIC UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE TWO COUNTRIES AT A TIME OF EVOLVING GLOBAL AND REGIONAL CHALLENGES.

Pakistan and Türkiye enjoy longstanding cooperation across a wide spectrum, including diplomacy, defense, trade, economic development and multilateral forums. Leaders from both sides have consistently emphasized solidarity on key regional and international issues, as well as support for peace, stability and dialogue.

The Board of Peace signing ceremony, attended by senior leaders and dignitaries from multiple countries, aims to promote diplomatic engagement, conflict resolution and humanitarian cooperation, particularly in regions facing prolonged crises.

The presence of Pakistan and Türkiye’s top civilian and military leadership at the event highlighted their shared commitment to constructive global engagement and reinforced the enduring partnership between the two brotherly nations.
