Nation united behind Green Shirts as Pakistan takes field at T20 World Cup: Attaullah Tarar

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar on Sunday expressed strong confidence in the national cricket team as Pakistan competed in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, saying the entire nation stands united behind the Green Shirts.

In a statement, the minister said that millions of Pakistanis were emotionally invested in the match, with hearts beating in unison as the team stepped onto the field carrying not only sporting talent but also the pride and passion of the nation.

“TODAY AT THE T20 WORLD CUP, MILLIONS OF HEARTS BEAT AS ONE FOR PAKISTAN. OUR TEAM CARRIES NOT JUST TALENT, BUT THE PRIDE AND PASSION OF A NATION. WITH COURAGE, BELIEF AND TRUE SPORTSMANSHIP, THE GREEN SHIRTS STEP ONTO THE FIELD,” HE SAID.

Tarar described the national squad, often referred to as the Shaheens, as a symbol of resilience and determination, adding that the people of Pakistan firmly stand behind their players at this crucial moment.

He expressed optimism about the team’s performance, saying, “Victory, InshaAllah, will be Pakistan’s.”

Cricket remains one of the most unifying forces in the country, often bringing together people across social and regional divides. As the high-stakes tournament continues, fans across Pakistan and overseas are closely following the team’s campaign, hoping for a strong showing on the global stage.
