ISLAMABAD, Tuesday, April 7, 2026 (WNP): The Government of Pakistan on Tuesday strongly condemned the missile and drone attacks carried out by the Islamic Republic of Iran against energy facilities in the Eastern Region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, terming them a grave escalation that threatens regional peace and stability.

In an official statement, Pakistan expressed deep concern over the incident, mourning the loss of lives and strongly deploring the damage inflicted on critical infrastructure.

The government conveyed its heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and reaffirmed its solidarity with the leadership and people of Saudi Arabia during the difficult time.

“Pakistan considers these attacks a serious violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” the statement said, adding that such actions undermine efforts aimed at maintaining peace in the region.

Reiterating its firm stance, Pakistan underscored its unwavering support for the Kingdom’s security and stability, emphasizing the need for restraint and de-escalation to prevent further deterioration of the situation.

The statement comes amid heightened tensions in the region following recent attacks targeting key energy installations in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province.
