Centrum Air launches direct Lahore–Tashkent flights to boost Pakistan–Uzbekistan connectivity

Date:

LAHORE: Centrum Air has launched a new direct flight service between Lahore and Tashkent, marking a significant step toward strengthening air connectivity between Pakistan and Uzbekistan.

The twice-weekly service, operating on Tuesdays and Fridays, will be operated using Airbus A320 aircraft, offering passengers a reliable and efficient travel option between the two countries.

The airline said the launch reflects its broader international expansion strategy, aimed at enhancing regional connectivity and providing competitive, customer-focused travel solutions across an expanding network.

As part of its entry into the Pakistani market, Centrum Air has partnered with Gerry’s Group as its official representative and General Sales Agent in the country.

Industry observers expect strong demand on the route, particularly from organized tour groups, as Uzbekistan gains popularity among Pakistani travelers for its cultural and historical destinations, including Samarkand and Bukhara.

In addition to tourism, the route is expected to cater to a diverse passenger base, including independent travelers, students, and religious tourists visiting Central Asia’s historic spiritual centers.

Passengers will also benefit from onward connectivity via Tashkent to key global destinations, including Frankfurt, Guangzhou, Moscow, St. Petersburg, and cities across Southeast Asia, positioning Tashkent as an emerging regional transit hub.

Introductory fares for the Lahore–Tashkent route start from $149, with tickets available through the airline’s official channels and authorized agents across Pakistan.

Commenting on the development, Group Director of Gerry’s Group Arshad Wali Muhammad said the partnership would expand travel opportunities and promote stronger economic and cultural ties between the two countries.

Centrum Air Founder and CEO Abdulaziz Abdurakhmanov said the launch underscores the airline’s ambition to enhance regional connectivity and offer efficient travel options across its growing network.
