TİKA explores women empowerment initiatives with Fatima Jinnah Women’s University

ISLAMABAD: Country Coordinator of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), Saliha Tuna said the agency is committed to strengthening women’s empowerment through education and skill development initiatives in Pakistan.

During a visit to Fatima Jinnah Women’s University, she held a meeting with Vice Chancellor Bushra Mirza to explore avenues of cooperation aimed at enhancing opportunities for young women.

Speaking on the occasion, Saliha Tuna said the discussions focused on improving learning environments, promoting vocational training, and launching capacity-building programs to equip female students with practical skills.

She described the visit as productive, noting that both sides shared a common vision of empowering women through education and sustainable development initiatives.

The engagement reflects the growing collaboration between Türkiye and Pakistan in advancing inclusive education and socio-economic development, particularly for women and youth.
