Deputy PM conveys condolences to bereaved families, reaffirms Pakistan’s readiness to assist Nepal in relief and recovery efforts

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Friday visited the Embassy of Nepal in Islamabad and signed the Condolence Book opened in memory of those who lost their lives in the devastating floods and landslides in Nepal.

The Deputy Prime Minister conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and expressed Pakistan’s solidarity with the Government and people of Nepal during the difficult hour.

Senator Ishaq Dar noted that climate change was having a disproportionate impact on countries across the region, with increasingly severe consequences for human lives, livelihoods and critical infrastructure.

He prayed for the departed souls, the swift recovery of those injured and the safety of people who remain missing following the devastating natural disaster.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s support for Nepal’s relief and recovery efforts, the Deputy Prime Minister conveyed Pakistan’s readiness to extend all possible assistance to help Nepal overcome the consequences of the calamity.

He underscored Pakistan’s solidarity with the people of Nepal and expressed the country’s continued willingness to stand alongside Nepal in its efforts to respond to the disaster and rebuild affected communities.

The visit reflects Pakistan’s longstanding fraternal ties with Nepal and its commitment to extending humanitarian support to countries facing natural disasters and climate-related emergencies.
