ANKARA: Chairman of the Türkiye-Pakistan Parliamentary Friendship Group and Member of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, Ali Şahin, on Monday highlighted the symbolic reflection of the Mecca Alliance in Pakistan’s traditional equestrian sports, describing it as an expression of solidarity and brotherhood among Türkiye, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

In his remarks, Ali Şahin drew attention to the display of the flags of Türkiye, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia on horses participating in the Sultan International Tent Pegging Tournament, under the leadership of Sahibzada Sultan Muhammad Ali, Founder Chairman of the MUSLIM Institute.

He said the depiction of the three countries’ flags on the horses reflected the spirit of unity, solidarity and brotherhood associated with the Mecca Alliance.

The Sultan International Tent Pegging Tournament features tent pegging, a traditional equestrian sport in which riders on horseback use a lance or sword to strike specific targets.
