DPM Dar, Canadian FM Anand discuss regional developments, stress ceasefire, diplomacy

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Tuesday held a telephone conversation with Canada’s Foreign Minister Anita Anand, during which both leaders exchanged views on recent regional developments, including the U.S.–Iran negotiations held during the Islamabad Talks.

According to official details, the two sides reviewed the evolving regional situation and the importance of sustained diplomatic engagement among all stakeholders.

Foreign Minister Anita Anand appreciated Pakistan’s role in facilitating dialogue and supporting diplomatic channels amid ongoing tensions.

Underscoring the importance of adherence to the ceasefire by all parties, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s continued commitment to promoting dialogue and diplomacy as the preferred path for conflict resolution.

Both leaders agreed to remain in close contact on matters of mutual interest as regional developments continue to unfold.
