Religious leadership reaffirms support for Pakistan’s stability, hails unity on first anniversary of ‘Marka-e-Haq’

Date:

ISLAMABAD: Coordinator of the National Paigham-e-Aman Committee (NPAC), Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi on Friday said the nation continues to stand united for the security and stability of Pakistan, as the country marks one year of “Marka-e-Haq, Bunyan-ul-Marsoos.”

Addressing a joint press conference alongside NPAC members and prominent Ulema and Mashaikh from various schools of thought, Ashrafi said Pakistanis at home and abroad were expressing gratitude and renewed resolve to stand shoulder to shoulder with the state and armed forces.

He said the success achieved in the “Marka-e-Haq” was a manifestation of divine support, adding that despite being a comparatively smaller force, Pakistan emerged victorious against a much larger adversary. He alleged that the enemy had targeted places of worship and civilians, whereas Pakistan’s response remained precise and avoided harm to non-combatants and religious sites.

Ashrafi further stated that attempts were made to malign Pakistan internationally by portraying it as a terrorist state, but those efforts failed. He emphasized that religious scholars under the platform of National Paigham-e-Aman Committee played a vital role in maintaining national unity and preventing sectarian discord.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Mir Asif, Nazm-e-Aala of Nizam-ul-Madaris Pakistan, said the development marked a defining moment in Pakistan’s history, projecting the country globally as a symbol of strength, unity, and effective defense.

He paid tribute to the armed forces for their professionalism and bravery, and lauded the leadership of Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, stating that national unity behind the armed forces remains essential for achieving success in any conflict.

Meanwhile, Maulana Zahid Mansoor said attempts by India to isolate Pakistan had backfired, adding that the country’s response had effectively countered aggression and strengthened its position.

Similarly, Maulana Zulfiqar said May 10, 2025 would be remembered as a historic period when Pakistan’s armed forces decisively responded to aggression, inflicting significant losses and demonstrating strategic capability.

The speakers reiterated that the entire nation remains united and committed to defending the country, expressing confidence that Pakistan will continue to move forward with strength, stability, and unity on all fronts.
