Pakistan Navy tracks Indian surveillance aircraft near maritime borders

ISLAMABAD, Monday, May 05, 2025 : The Pakistan Navy has reaffirmed its vigilance and operational readiness by closely monitoring an Indian naval aircraft that approached Pakistani maritime boundaries during the night between May 4 and 5.

According to defense sources, a P-8I Poseidon—India’s long-range maritime reconnaissance aircraft—was detected by the Pakistan Navy and subsequently kept under continuous surveillance. The timely detection and monitoring reflect the Navy’s state of alertness and its commitment to safeguarding national maritime interests against any potential aggression.

The incident underscores the persistent tensions in the region and highlights the strategic importance of maritime security in maintaining stability.
