U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Natalie Baker visits SIFC to discuss investment cooperation

Pakistan, U.S. explore opportunities in IT, AI, industrial parks and special economic zones

ISLAMABAD: Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Pakistan Natalie Baker visited the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) and held discussions with senior officials on strengthening Pakistan-U.S. economic and investment cooperation.

The discussions focused on investment opportunities in information technology, artificial intelligence and other key sectors, with particular emphasis on facilitating greater U.S. investment in Pakistan.

The two sides also discussed the Karachi Industrial Park and other Special Economic Zones (SEZs), highlighting opportunities for U.S. companies to participate in Pakistan’s expanding industrial and manufacturing sectors.

SIFC officials briefed the U.S. delegation on investment opportunities and the measures being undertaken to facilitate international investors and provide a conducive environment for long-term business partnerships.

SIFC reiterated its commitment to promoting sustainable, mutually beneficial international investment and expanding economic cooperation with global partners.
