OGDCL begins gas, condensate production from Soghri North-1 well in Attock

Date:

ISLAMABAD, Friday, September 19, 2025 : The Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has announced the commencement of gas and condensate production from its Soghri North-1 well in Attock district, Punjab.

According to an OGDCL spokesperson, the well is producing 14 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) of gas and 430 barrels per day of condensate. To ensure supply, the company has laid a 14-kilometer-long pipeline connecting the well to the Dakhni Plant.

The spokesperson confirmed that gas from Soghri North-1 has now been injected into the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) network. OGDCL holds a 100 percent working interest in the Soghri Exploration License.

The company said this addition to the local energy supply will help reduce reliance on imports, thereby saving valuable foreign exchange for the country.
