ISLAMABAD, Tuesday, September 23, 2025 : Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday reaffirmed Pakistan’s resolve to further strengthen its long-standing partnership with Saudi Arabia, describing the relationship as one founded on Islam, shared history, brotherhood and trust.

In a televised message on the occasion of Saudi Arabia’s 95th National Day, the prime minister extended greetings to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Saudi people.

Shehbaz recalled that during heightened tensions with India in May 2025, Saudi Arabia’s solidarity with Pakistan was deeply valued and would never be forgotten. He also acknowledged the Kingdom’s vital economic support, which had helped stabilize Pakistan’s economy.

Delivering his message in Arabic, he said the people of Pakistan hold immense gratitude for this brotherly support.

Referring to his recent “historic” visit to Riyadh, the prime minister said the warmth and hospitality extended to him and his delegation was a source of pride. “The people of Pakistan join me in thanking King Salman and Prince Mohammed bin Salman for making this visit filled with unparalleled love and memorable moments,” he remarked.

Shehbaz, who is currently in New York for the 80th UN General Assembly session, praised Saudi Arabia’s rapid development under the leadership of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, noting that the Kingdom’s prominent position in global affairs reflected his vision and wisdom.

Highlighting the contributions of millions of Pakistani expatriates in Saudi Arabia, he said they considered the Kingdom their second home and were playing a vital role in its progress and prosperity.

The prime minister concluded his message with prayers for the Kingdom’s continued growth and prosperity, raising the slogans: “Long live Pakistan-Saudi brotherhood” and “Long live the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”
