According to diplomatic sources, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian spoke with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, while separate talks were held between Iran’s senior leadership and Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar. The discussions took place against the backdrop of a rapidly evolving regional situation, underscoring the importance both sides attach to close consultation and timely coordination.

The exchanges reflected the depth of relations between the two neighbouring countries, which share long-standing historical, cultural, and religious ties. The conversations focused on maintaining regular contact at the highest political and diplomatic levels to address regional challenges and explore avenues for enhanced cooperation.

DURING THE CALLS, THE LEADERS REAFFIRMED THEIR SHARED COMMITMENT TO PEACE, STABILITY, AND SECURITY IN THE REGION, WHILE EMPHASIZING THE NEED FOR CONSTRUCTIVE ENGAGEMENT AND DIALOGUE TO ADDRESS COMMON CONCERNS.

They also highlighted the importance of sustained bilateral cooperation in promoting economic development and prosperity for the peoples of both countries.
