Pakistan reaffirms solidarity with Iran as Deputy PM Dar signs condolence book for Ayatollah Khamenei

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Wednesday visited the Embassy of Iran to sign the condolence book opened following the demise of the country’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

During the visit, Dar expressed profound sorrow over the martyrdom of Ayatollah Khamenei and conveyed Pakistan’s heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, the leadership, and the people of Iran.

Writing in the condolence book, the deputy prime minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s solidarity with the Iranian nation during a moment of immense national grief, emphasizing the longstanding brotherly ties between the two neighboring countries.

He also conveyed prayers for the departed leader and extended sympathies on behalf of the government and people of Pakistan, highlighting Islamabad’s support for the Iranian people in this difficult time.

The visit reflects Pakistan’s diplomatic engagement and expressions of sympathy following the death of Iran’s top religious and political authority, a development that has drawn reactions from leaders across the region and the wider Muslim world.
