Iranians express gratitude to Pakistan in Tehran with flag display, slogans

TEHRAN, Wednesday, April 1, 2026 (WNP): Citizens in Tehran expressed gratitude to Pakistan by displaying the Pakistani flag and chanting slogans of appreciation during a public gathering at Vali Asr Square.

According to reports, participants held placards and raised slogans thanking Pakistan for its support and solidarity, with messages indicating that the Iranian people would not forget Pakistan’s goodwill and friendship.

The development comes amid ongoing regional tensions, during which Iran has repeatedly acknowledged Pakistan’s diplomatic backing and expressions of solidarity at both official and public levels.

Such public gestures reflect the longstanding ties and people-to-people connection between the two countries, often described as brotherly nations with shared cultural and regional linkages.

The display of Pakistan’s flag in a prominent public space in Tehran was seen as a symbolic expression of appreciation, reinforcing sentiments of unity and mutual support between the peoples of the two countries.
