KABUL: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has distributed 500 food baskets among families affected by floods in Afghanistan’s Nuristan Province, benefiting 3,500 people from 500 families.

The assistance was provided under the 2026 Food Security and Emergency Project, which includes emergency food support for flood-affected communities across the central, eastern and southeastern regions of Afghanistan.

The relief distribution is part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing humanitarian and relief efforts through KSrelief to support the people of Afghanistan and help alleviate the impact of natural disasters and humanitarian hardships.

The initiative reflects Saudi Arabia’s continued commitment to providing essential assistance to vulnerable communities and strengthening humanitarian support for the brotherly Afghan people during times of crisis.
