Turkish envoy, FM express solidarity with Pakistan over Indian aggression

ISLAMABAD, Wednesday, May 07, 2025 : Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan, Dr. Irfan Neziroglu called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar on Wednesday to discuss regional security dynamics, with a particular focus on recent escalations involving India.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Turkish envoy conveyed Turkiye’s strong solidarity with Pakistan following India’s alleged unprovoked violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty, which resulted in the loss of innocent civilian lives.

During the meeting, both sides held an in-depth exchange on regional security challenges and reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close coordination and cooperation on matters of mutual concern.

Separately, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan also held a telephonic conversation with Deputy Prime Minister Dar to reiterate Turkiye’s support for Pakistan. FM Fidan expressed deep concern over the deteriorating regional security environment and condemned the Indian actions that breached Pakistan’s territorial integrity.

Both leaders agreed to stay in close contact as the situation continues to evolve.
