Religious scholar praises their commitment to protecting Islam’s holiest sites, calls for steadfastness, patience and sincere faith, and offers prayers for their safety and success
RIYADH: Sheikh Dr. Rashid bin Ramzan Al-Hajri has delivered a motivational message to those entrusted with defending the Haramain Sharifain, praising their commitment to protecting the Two Holy Mosques, safeguarding the sanctities of Islam and upholding the principles of faith.
In his address, Sheikh Al-Hajri described the responsibility of protecting the holy sites in Makkah and Madinah as a profound honour and a blessing, emphasising that Muslims around the world hold the guardianship of Islam’s holiest places in the highest regard.
Addressing the personnel, he urged them to remain grateful to Allah Almighty, maintain steadfastness in their faith and discharge their responsibilities with sincerity, patience and a strong sense of duty.
He said their service represented a commitment not only to the protection of the Two Holy Mosques but also to the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the preservation of the religious heritage cherished by Muslims worldwide.
Drawing upon Quranic teachings, Sheikh Al-Hajri reminded his audience that faith, perseverance and trust in Allah were essential sources of strength during difficult times. He cited the Quranic verse, “If you support Allah, He will support you and make your feet firm,” highlighting the importance of remaining steadfast in the face of adversity.
He further stressed that security and stability were among the greatest blessings, extending from individuals and families to homes, communities and the nation as a whole.
The scholar praised the personnel for what he described as their determination to protect the country and its sacred sites, saying their commitment had earned the respect and appreciation of Muslims across the world.
Referring to the examples of the Companions of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), including Khalid bin Al-Walid, he encouraged them to draw inspiration from the courage, discipline and perseverance demonstrated by earlier generations of Muslims.
Sheikh Al-Hajri also underscored the importance of patience, sincerity of intention and adherence to Islamic teachings and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). He said that faith should be reflected in conduct, fulfilment of religious obligations, the pursuit of knowledge and the responsible exercise of duty.
He offered prayers for those who had lost their lives, asking Allah Almighty to accept them among the martyrs, grant patience to their families and protect those continuing to serve. He also prayed for the safety of personnel and their families, their success in their responsibilities and their continued commitment to their faith.
In the concluding part of his address, Sheikh Al-Hajri expressed appreciation for the efforts being made to safeguard the Two Holy Mosques and protect the Kingdom’s religious and national institutions. He called for unity, steadfastness and divine guidance, while praying for peace, security and victory over those he described as adversaries of Islam.
He concluded by invoking Allah’s blessings upon the personnel and their families, reaffirming his solidarity with them and expressing hope that their service would remain guided by sincerity, faith and devotion to protecting the sacred sites.
The address centred on faith, perseverance, discipline and the responsibility of safeguarding the Haramain Sharifain, reflecting the profound spiritual significance of Makkah and Madinah for Muslims across the world.
